This week in Sunshine class we have been enjoying learning about the farm. We have talked about the animals found on the farm, the noises they make and the job a farmer does. We have been thinking about the crops that grow on a farm and what food comes from a farm. Our food topic will continue next week. Children have asked to learn about eggs, so we will be cooking eggs in different ways next week.

I am feeling very proud of Sunshine class this week, as we have begun to learn our phase 3 phonics sounds and children have produced some excellent writing. I am impressed with how they have been sounding out their words and forming their letters beautifully.

Sunshine class have been brilliant Mathematicians, learning their numbers to 20. These can be seen written on our windows and in our outdoors. Children have played bowling (Tennis or Basketball as some children preferred to name it), counting the skittles that have fallen down, and writing this number accurately. Again, I am very proud of their achievements.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for so much support with outstanding homework this week. Some lovely igloos have come into school which have brightened the classroom.

This weeks Star of the week is Lacie-Mae.

Our certificate winners are Millie and Ben.

Thank you for reading our blog!
