This weather is really not helping at all.

Well, the juniors sports games were washed out all week because the yard was to wet and slippy. Everyone has their fingers crossed for a drier week next week.

Luckily the infant’s yard dried out really well and we was able to enjoy 4 lunch times of sports.

As ever the infants were excellent again in every game and it’s always hard to keep track of each goal, scorer, top save and superb defensive play.

The stand out action of the week was a fine penalty save by Jamaar shortly after a fantastic goal by Hayden which he scored from his own half.

Thursday, that was the day…

What a game we had, the defending, the attacking and the goal keeping were at the highest standard. With Ben refereeing the game, it was worthy of being shown on TV. Max and Reegan managed to pull off a number of fantastic saves to keep the score to a modest 2-2. This was an all-round fabulous game and I must say some of the best defending I’ve seen.

This week’s junior Sports Person of the Week has had to be put on hold as the juniors couldn’t play any sports. Let’s go again next week and hope for clear skis.

The infant Sports Person of the Week goes to Reegan, Daniel, Max and Jamaar. These four guys showed unbelievable courage and bravery in the goal on Thursday. Max and Reegan were just fantastic in goal; while Jamaar and Daniel did everything they could to protect their goal keepers. I could not choose just one of these boys as they all were brilliant.

Well that’s another week gone and all is still up for grabs for the Pool House Sports Person of the Year award. All these fantastic players are making it very difficult to my any decisions.

Chow for now…
