As the week comes to an end, today we have been reflecting upon our class trip to Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. Wednesday got off to a really bad start. A major accident closing the M6 motorway in the morning saw Preston grid locked. We eventually managed to get out of Preston and made it down the motorway to Cheshire. We went through Knutsford and saw the McLaren car garage. When we arrived at the discovery centre the staff had very kindly re arranged our day so that we did not miss and of our arranged sessions. We went into the planetarium and then did some experiments relating to the solar system. After a late lunch we walked around the Lovell Telescope and the rest of the grounds in the rain. The journey home was much easier.

Today in the assembly we had a demonstration from the Taekwondo afterschool group. If anyone is interested in starting the classes there is a free taster session this coming Wednesday in the school hall at 3:15 for 1 hour.

Next week is parents evening. I still have not heard from a few parents to arrange times. This is a great opportunity to see how your child has settled into year 5.

Star of the week this week is Noah and merit certificates for Sonny and Jackson.
