In English, we have started learning about formal and informal language, with an eventual aim of writing a formal letter to Mrs Cole!
In Mathematics, we have been plotting co-ordinates across all four quadrants of a grid as well as reflecting various shapes across a mirror line too.
This week was Bikeability week in Year 6 and this linked to our PSHCE unit about Safer Cycling. We carried out cycling sessions with the Bikeability Instructors who taught the children level 1 (school grounds) cycling safety. If the children were confident with this then they attempted level 2 (quieter local roads). I was absolutely amazed with the effort and commitment shown throughout the week and want to pass on a massive well done to everyone – and a big thank you to Mr Parkinson and the Bikeability Instructors too!
Today, it was Children in Need day. We were able to dress up in spots, yellow or clothes with Pudsey on. We researched the story of Children In Need and Pudsey and then had a go a creating our own Children In Need story with a new mascot – see our Children In Need gallery for how we got on with this!
