This week in English we have started our new unit of poetry. We have been looking at rhythm and rhyme and discussing what we enjoy in each poem. Our favourite poem has been Full of surprises by Paul Cookson. We have enjoyed using our imagination when telling each other what we would like to come out of the box.

"A rocket ship and fireworks would come out of my box".- Virtue

"A friendly witch would be in my box" - Nourah

"A scary dragon would jump out of my box" - Marcel

The children have worked really hard in mathematics looking at addition and subtraction using 2 digit numbers.

During our PSHCE lesson with Mrs Bradley we looked at the importance of personal hygiene.

"We need to wear clean clothes so they don't smell" - Ben

"We must brush our teeth twice a day" - Harley

This week we have talked a lot about Harvest, well done to all the children for their performance in the harvest assembly. We created some fantastic props to use during our song.

In Science we created information booklets about keeping safe when using medicines.

"Children should not take medicine themselves, an adult has to do it" - Kevin

"Don't take medicine when you don't need it" - Cora

"Medicines make you better" - Zara

"Medicines are not sweets" - Bonnie
