Homework

The homework grid is now optional and children may select to do as much or as little from the grid as they wish to over the half term.

I will collect the homework books in at the end of the half term and reward good homework attempts. 

Reading and spellings are  not optional though and these should be done regularly through out the week. Please sign your child's reading record when they have read at home so that books may be changed promptly. 

There may be additional pieces of homework over the term which will link into classwork; for example a Science investigation or stimulus needed for Art. Please support your child with this as it will only benefit their school learning.

Please also encourage your child to be learning their 2, 5 and 10 times table facts off by heart by Christmas. If they are secure with these already you could look at the corresponding division facts for the same times tables.
