This week we have been continuing our study of poetry and particularly focusing on the use of figurative language to create images in the readers head. The children have ended the week by writing their own poem containing personification.
In Maths we have also continued looking at measurements and converting between different measures. The children have amazed us with their enthusiasm and understanding in this topic.
In Science we have looked some more at sound and learnt about how sound travels through the air and what happens when sound hits an obstacle. I wonder if anyone can remember now?
The award winners this week are:
Star of the week – Darcy Morrison
Merits – Drew Bradley and Mikquell Hetherington - Smith
Good Friend Award – Alice Wojtkielewicz
Please can we remind you that every child in Silver Class needs to be reading for around 5 minutes every night.
Also a very well done to Skye Wright who came up with this weeks blogs title! :)
Have a lovely weekend, we look forward to seeing you back again on Monday.
