This week has been a great week in Silver class we have been continuing and finishing off a lot of the subjects and topics we had begun before half term.

The children have enjoyed:

. Learning how to use data and statistics, in particular to create bar charts.

. Beginning to read a non-fiction text about the Shang Dynasty and completing work about this.

. Continuing our water cycle work in Geography - focusing on the different types of flooding and the effects that flooding can have on communities. We have looked at a case study of Boscastle to learn about this.

. Beginning to think about how they might make their own shelter in DT.

The certificate winners this week are:

Merits - Oliver and Hayden

Star of the week - Youssef

Good Friend - Ellie

As you can see it has been a productive week with much more done alongside this.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the children all need to bring in their PE kits for this half term as soon as possible. Also reading wallets need to be brought in each Friday and will be given back out every Monday.

Homework grids have been given out for one task to be completed weekly and emailed to myself by Friday morning as well as spellings practised for a test each Monday.

We are already looking forward to next week! Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Pass and Mrs Miller :)
