Ashton CSC week 2

This week at Ashton CSC we worked with Mr Jones in DT first. After we arrived at the high school we went to the DT rooms with Mr Jones. Today we made a Tangram from plastic and then made a holder for the game from a large piece of plastic which was molded into shape on a vacuum molder. We then packed all our games up in bags to take home. Have a look at the pictures to see how we did this. Next we went to the science labs to meet Mrs Ethal. Today we looked at the telescope invented mt Galileo in 1607. We experimented with lenses on rulers. Then we used the Bunsen burners and we looked at how the Chinese burned different metals in the flames to create different colours. This is how fireworks are made.
