These weeks keep coming thick and fast its almost imposible to keep up.
This week saw the juniors play 2 games of football and 2 games of tag rugby (Wednesday was called off due to the rain). The week started and ended with football with Harrison scoring the only goals (2) on Monday to lead his team to victory. That man Harrison was at it again on Friday with another goal to add to his tally while Dylan also managed to get on the team sheet to help earn his team the win. Tag rugby Tuesday, as it should be known; finished with a spectacular 5-3 victory to Monaé's team. This game was all action from start to finish and the win could have gone to either team until the last 5 minutes. Monaé's team finding that extra gear to take home the spoils over team Tyler. Thursdays tag rugby saw a smaller score line but just as much fun and action. With Nathen making his tag rugby debut, his team managed to win 3-1 over Bens team. The game was as tight as the score line, with very little time to pause for thought' the ball hardly ever stopped moving.
This week in the infants we played Skittles and everyone loved it. With 4 out of 5 days of decent weather these guys and girls managed almost 40 points scored over the week. With the teams being mixed up all the time so everyone could get a good game in it was difficult to pick out individual star players because they where all so good! Team captians Cian, Max, Reegan, Mequel, Alan and Hayden all did their best to help their teams with excellent defending and super speedy attacking play. Next week we are going to give tag rugby a try in the infants and they are all looking forward to it.
This weeks Sports Person Of The Week for the juniors went to Isaac. What a star this young man is to work with, he loves sport and really goes out of his way to play the right way. Good choice Mrs Miller.
The infant Sports Person Of The Week went to a girl who is amazing in every game we play. No matter what the sport, whos team she's on or against and whatever the weather, all this girl wants to do is have fun and really enjoy herself. All i can say is well done Nicole you earned this award (and i promise to stop calling you Amy).
This week has been an absolute pleasure, with sportsmanship being shown in both juniors and infants it really does make me feel really proud of all those involved. The juniors are showing a fantastic maturity and the infants are showing how much they care and respect each other, well done everyone!
The teams of the term awards are coming up next week so keep working hard everybody!
Chow for now....
