Just a short blog this week…like myself really!

The children have been working hard, developing their understanding of different types of habitats found around the world. We looked at forests, the Savannah, prairies, deserts, rainforests, tundra, marine habitats and even the man-made habitats found in zoos. There were fantastic contributions from many of the children and they worked incredibly hard taking notes for our forthcoming work.

There was also some great work done in phonics and literacy support this week. This week, we looked at our working memory and tried to improve this.

The superstars who received certificates this week were:

* Ben (Year 1)

* Emily-Grace (Year 1)

* Nicole C (Year 2)

* Evie (Year 3)

* Dominic (Year 4)

* Ruby (Year 5)

* Keira (Year 6)

Well done all of you!

This week’s challenge is to work on your working-memory capabilities. Working-memory is a crucial brain function that we use to focus our attention and control our thinking, it is used in all aspects of life, including reading, spelling and writing.
