This week has been full of multi-cultural fun and celebration. Sunshine Class have learnt all about Chinese New Year. We have found out that it is the year of the Rooster, tasted Chinese food, written our names in Chinese, found Chinese numbers and had our own Chinese dragon march. ( Videos/ pictures in the gallery.)

On Monday Dylan said " This day is amazing."

As well as all this we have found time to learn rhyming words and make our own rhyming strings.

"Mum, hum, tum, sum rhyme" (Nevaeh)

" Dad and mad rhyme." (Oscar)

We have also been very good at sharing our ideas and trying new things, if you get chance check out our dragon paintings which we did with straws, lolly pop sticks and cotton buds.

This is what the children have told us they enjoyed this week.

" I enjoyed learning to play football." (Oscar)

" We have learnt Sh, Ch, Th in phonics." (Alara)

This weeks Star of the Week is Millie. Well done!

And congratulations to our merit certificate winners Nevaeh and Dylan.

Mrs Preston, Miss Chippendale, Mrs Parkinson, Mrs Bradley are now all up to date with their First Aid training after two very late nights.

Have a lovely weekend... See you Monday! :-)
