WOW...... Its already been a week since the last blog, but so much has happened. We had an action packed week with the luch time sports, so here goes.
Monday started out extremly cold so we began the week playing hand ball (less chance of slipping). With three teams looking to come out on top it was the ever ready Monaè who led her team to two victorys to come out on top for the day. The weather picked up a bit on Tuesday and out came the football. Three teams competed over six games with Dylans team finishing victors overall. As the weather warmed up mid week the competitiveness did too. With a game of tag rugby came twelve pupils playing their hearts out. Malaki led by example to help his team to a narrow 5-4 win. Thomas finished top scorer on the day with three trys and Jacob giving everything he had for the losing team, even stopping a try scoring pass with his head.
Well this was the day............ Thursday, d-day, clash of the titans, Man U v Liverpool, Superman vs Batman, all these had nothing on this game. American Football; this game turned into our very own super bowl. It was 7players v 8players but this didnt mean anything. With every player getting themselves on the score sheet and none stop action from end to end/start to finish. Jasmins team held on to take a 13-12 victory over Jamies team. As the week came to a close we finished off with a penalty shoot out on Friday. With excellent saves from Isaac and Rio, the others found it almost impossible to score. With a handful of scorers hitting one each, the game ended in an all round draw.
As this was the last day of the term myself and three of my officials chose our Team of the Term. Taking the honours this term were Isaac, Gabriel, Ben, Thomas and Jake. these guys always try their best when ever they take part in the lunch time games.
I would like to end with a massive thanks to the boys and girls from gold class for helping referee, officiate and just all round help set up and run these sports. Dylan, Monaè, Shaniyah, Tyler and Leo helped out a couple of times a week each, in between joining in the fun. Liam, Chris and Rhys are always helping out nearly every lunch time and did an excellent job.
Good luck to those at PNE tomorrow
Thanks everyone and have a great week off.
