Here we go again folks, sports galore!  After a nice relaxing week of rest (well for me anyway) we start all over again with the lunch time sporting activities.

Monday began with the fans favourite, football and its wasn't a slow start. Starting at 100mph the children were rarring to go. With two games played it was all out attack from all teams involved. But in the end only one team chalked up a win with Harrison getting the only goal of the day with a perfect finish.

Tuesday saw the return of Tag Rugby which made Monaè rather happy. With only two teams playing, it was suprising that only two trys were scored. Kenzie breaking through on both occasions for the win.

Wednesday seemed to be the start of the bad weather, so we stuck to Basketball penalty shots to keep everyone safe. Nineteen children, from all the different Junior classes took part with Ethan, Isaac and Gabrial coming joint first with two baskets each.

Thursday welcomed storm Doris; so we got rained off unfortunately. But dont panic, as much as she tried, Doris was unable to blow our football nets away and they were returned to their original positions and we were able to breathe a sigh of relief.

As the week came to an end I gave the children the choice of which sports they wanted to play. No suprise......Football. We managed to squeeze four games in but unfortunately the only goal that was scored all dinner time was disallowed. As team captains Shinayha, Ben, Gabrial and Chris did all they could to rally their teams, but as much as they tried the dead locks could not be broken in each game. Plus some world class defending from Isaac and Ben, followed by some excellent point blanks saves from Connor meant that all the games ended in draws.

Sports person of the week this week went to Jakub. This young man joins in every game we play, everyday. He trys his best and always tries to contribute to whichever team hes involved with. On monday we are hoping to move to our new sports arena (the rear play ground). This will give us more space and in turn will give us the chance to play a lot more different varietys of sports and games.
