Well this week was so much fun, the sun has been shining and everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves!
We started the week off with a game of tag rugby in the juniors with most of the year 6's taking part. The game ending with Monaè's team winning 6-4 over Jasmin's team. The rest of the week included football matches for the juniors. We divided the field into 3 pitches (2 for the juniors and 1 for the infants) and it was all go from start to finish. Fantastic goals from Harrison, Jamie and Isaac helped the games to be played in a fantastic manner and its always a pleasure to see everyone having fun.
In the infants we started off the week with a game of skittles, which is a favourite of the infants. Max's team took the victory over Alan's team in this game, but again as always with these guys there was fab sportsmanship all the way. For the rest of the week the infants chose tag rugby and this made for a fantastic aray of skills, gamesmanship and last ditch defending. All the trys scored over the week added up to around 60, so as you can imagine it was a busy few games we had. With lee helping out i think he accidentally saved more than anyone else. With full lenth pitch runs and headed saves it was a pleasure to referee these games.
The junior Sports Person of the Week went to John this week. This young man isn't overly interested in sports as he admits himself, but when he does join in, he always has a huge smile on his face and always tries his hardest.
The infant Sports Person of the Week went to Max. Max gets himself involved in every game and always plays his best. He makes sure he and which ever team he is on plays by the rules, he also helps set the pitch up and organise the teams.
Well done guys its great to be able to award these certificates for a variety of reasons.
Here's hoping for another week of sun...
