And so here we are, the final half term of the year, and for the residents of Gold class, the final term of their entire primary school career.
Yet there is so much still to do: Our trip to Beacon Fell will be re-arranged, there is a Kwik Cricket tournament (no, my spelling isn't that bad, it really is spelt like that!), the Preston Sports Festival, The Open Golf at Southport, Leaver's Assembly, the school production and the little matter of a week at Tower Wood!
This week we have enjoyed a range of maths skills, worked on the Lewis Carroll poem 'Jaberwocky' and we have begun creating recipes for our ice-cream stall enterprise task. All this as well as creating the first parts of our model Mayan pyramids. All in all a busy week here in Gold class.
Which just leaves us enough room to talk about today's sponsored '3-legged Marathon'. Yes, we really have aimed to three-legged-walk the length of a marathon around the school yard. That's 311 laps of the front yard, for anyone who's counting! So dig deep and sponsor the children if you can, all money will be spent on improving the education of your children and those who follow in there distinguished footsteps.
Have a great weekend!
