What a fun singing assembly we had today. All the children joining in and some very enthusiastic members of staff. Well done Mrs Clegg! It's great to see lots of encouragement to engage children in singing. It's fantastic to see all the school joining in together and working as a team. Our singing is sounding superb now and their musical knowledge is very impressive. Even the youngest children are able to discuss pieces of music and comment on what they hear.

In Nursery and Reception we enjoyed using a variety of instruments and playing along to Jack and the jelly beanstalk. Indiana had a very important job to play the cymbals at the end to symbolise the Giant falling down the beanstalk. He really enjoyed this job. Well done! In Year 2 we enjoyed singing seaside holiday songs and we started to write our own seaside songs based on a sailor went to sea, sea, sea. All the children wrote some great songs and some performed them to the class.

In Bronze class we continued our playground songs topic and used glockenspiels and keyboards to accompany our songs. In Diamond class we worked on a composition about bird song which lasted 1 minute which was very challenging to do.

Another fun day in school. Keep up the singing everyone!
