So sorry that the blog disappeared for a couple of weeks there. I’m back now and after a lovely couple of weeks before we broke up, that included delights like the Beacon Fell trip with the infants (where we were incredibly lucky with the weather and has a beautiful day to be heading for the hills!). We also managed, with three groups of children, to fit in a look at signs and symbols.
We thought about how these were important in our day to day lives and then looked at their roles in Christianity and Judaism. The children really enjoyed handling the different artefacts from the two religions and this led to some great discussions about what the different symbols meant to people in those religions. Alan (year 2) produced some excellent work in response to this, as did Evie (year 3).
It’s been a really beautiful and frosty first day back today, so this will be reflected in the challenges for this week. These were taken from www.activityvillage.co.uk , where lots of fun activities can be found. Have a go at these letter Sudokus!
