This short school week got off to an exciting bang with our fabulous firework poetry. Children enjoyed talking about their own Bonfire night experiences in the class and used their observations to write fabulous poetry. We found out all about Guy Fawkes and why we have Bonfire night every year. Mya and Brodey remembered lots of very interesting facts and got special super gold stickers from Mrs Cole.

We were very creative making bonfire toast, collages and days of the week chains. Everybody tried hard with their cutting out and colouring this week. Well done.

On Friday we found out about another special celebration, Remembrance Sunday. We made medals and poppy biscuits and thought about all the brave soldiers.

Next week children have asked to learn about Goldilocks, (she is a little bit naughty though because she breaks things so we might need to teach her a thing or two!) We have a very interesting week!

Welcome to Iyla-Rose and Joey who have settled in really well and enjoyed being in Sunshine class.

Well done to our certificate winners Iyla-Rose and Leyton.

Our star of the week is Brodey.

Don't forget our class hamper items need to be in for Friday. We are asking for unisex pocket money toys. No more than £1 in value. Items such as marbles, bouncy balls, colouring pencils, yo-yos, bubbles, stickers and cards, would be fantastic. I'm hoping our hamper will win.

All children should have new homework grids in their books- again one piece is to be completed each week from the grid along with the Big talk for every Friday. Children should be aiming to read every night.

Thankyou! Have a great weekend.

Sunshine team.
