The end of a short but settled week in Rainbow class.
We've had a lovely start to our Autumn term 2 and the children have come back to school ready and raring to learn.
This week in English we have started a new topic looking at information texts. We have been learning about Orang-utans. At the end of this unit we are going to create information booklets about a pet. Many of us have decided we want to write about gerbils because we already know so much about Shimmer and Shine, our class gerbils.
In maths we have been looking at 10 more or less than a number using a 100 square. Nicole C has even been practising at home and brought her work to show me today! Well done Nicole!
Star of the week is Daniel and our merit certificates were awarded to Kacey and Lily-May. Well done!
Homework webs have been changed in homework books, along with new sticker charts for our new half term. Any children who complete all homework each week will get a reward at the end of this half term. There are also new spellings to learn and a maths word problem sheet as there will be no big write next week because it is Children in Need day in school.
