In diamond class this week we have been very bust even though we have only been in school for 3 days. The week started off with Mr Mearns collecting a minibus from Preston Community Transport on his way into work. At 9:30 we left school and went up to Ashton Community Science College. At 10 o’clock we had our first session in DT. We started a new project with a design challenge. We will be considering a solution to a problem which we will then design a product to solve the problem and then finally make the designed product. Following this we moved across the school to the science labs. In science we did an experiment to remove salt from rocksalt. This was fantastic. We even got to use some Bunsen Burners. Today ( Friday ) Mrs Jackson for Ashton CSC came to our school to teach us French. We had a great time learning speaking in French. Mrs Jackson is much better at French then Mr Mearns’ Chorley version of French.

Next week we have spellings on Monday morning. Also please bring in your donations for the class hamper.

Wednesday we are going to Ashton CSC again for DT and Science.

Friday is non uniform for children in need. £1 donation and more information will follow about the activities we are going to do.
