We just about managed not to fall foul of the weather this week. We managed to get out for four of the five dinner times.

The upper juniors did really well this week with three games of football and a game of skittles. We had to move the pitch around a little, due to the large puddles but it didn’t stop everyone from having lots of fun. Gabriel did a fantastic job of leading his team to victory in the skittles game, which ended 5-3. The three days with football saw some outstanding skill from Ben, some excellent sportsmanship from Oliwier and defending at its highest from Olivia and Lacey.

The lower juniors also enjoyed three games of football and a game of skittles this week. Some great team play was on show when Lee, Reo, Oliver and Hayden worked together to score not one, not two but three excellent team goals (straight out of the Barcelona play book). This week saw a few new faces join in with the fun and with the enthusiasm and smiles on their faces; I’m sure they will be looking forward to joining in some more.

The infants enjoyed some football this week. As always, lots of fun for these guys as they must have scored nearly 60 goals this week. Everyone that plays gets on the scoresheet at least once. The stand out goal has to be one of Miquell’s. he took it round two defenders and slipped the ball into the near post of the junior referee (who went in the goals to help out).

This week’s infant sports person of the week goes to Reagan. This young chap always gets involved. He’s always ready to play and play he does. Defiantly Mr Blackburn’s future junior goalkeeper, this guy’s going far with his goalkeeping skills.

The lower junior sports person of the week goes to Finlay. A new face this week, Finlay got involved straight from the off. He followed the rules and played as well as he could. It’s great to see new faces and when they inject as much fun and sportsmanship into the game as this young man does, I hope he continues to join in.

The upper junior sports player of the week goes to Wojicech. Where do I start with this one? he’s just fantastic. He’s joining in the lunch time sports more and more and grows with confidence every time. Always polite, always plays by the rules and always tries to involve everyone on his team. Just a superstar!!!

Leon received the pool house official award this week. Leon is such a huge help with the lunchtime sports. He referees game as well as helps set them up. He does his best everytime to run each game as fairly and freely as possible and the players respond to him very well. Thanks for all your help Leon.

Keep an eye on the school website for pictures.

Same again next week everyone…
