‘Happy New Year’ to all and welcome back to school, for what promises to be a very busy half term. The groups that have been working with me this week, have all been finishing off our analysis project from last half term…it got very rudely interrupted by Christmas!

The junior groups have continued on from the task we were looking at before Christmas, when we completed synonym word searches. This week, the groups have been looking at antonyms-words that mean the opposite-and creating their own word searches to baffle their class mates. They used thesauruses and dictionaries to make sure they found some really interesting words and that they spelled them correctly! In the infant group, they created their own rhyming word searches, again, to challenge their class mates. Some really good rhymes were used in the word searches, so I hope that Moonbeam class and Rainbow class are ready for their challenge!

The stars this week were:

Ellie-Mae (year 4) and Kyle (year 1)

Well done.
