This term the children are going to work with Bloom's Taxonomy, thinking about habitats. Bloom's Taxonomy helps us to work towards higher order thinking. One of the ways that this is done, is by using the idea of a ladder you can climb up.

The first 'rungs' on the ladder are: remembering, understadning and applying. All these ways of learning and focussing our attention are using 'lower order' thinking skills. The top three 'rungs' of the ladder are the 'higher order' thinking skills of: analysing, evaluating and creating. You need to have the information and the understanding at the start of a new project, but it is what we do with this information that challenges our thinking.

Watch this space for how the project goes over the next half term!
