After what has felt like forever, it was fantastic to see so many happy and smiling faces this week. I have certainly missed you all in the last six months. As most of you will know by now, I am lucky enough to be teaching the class again this year, with continued support from Mrs Gibson. Mr Price will be joining our fantastic Year 6 team each afternoon.

The children have taken part in a number of well-being related activities this week, discussing what they have been doing during the lockdown, their aspirations for this year and developing a positive ‘Growth Mindset’ not only in school but in day to day life. The children have responded extremely well to the activities throughout the week and have settled back into school well. All credit must go to each of them, as well as yourselves as supportive parents and carers.

In addition to the activities above, we have also sculpted our own mythical creatures out of clay, experimented with Chinese Tangrams and engaged in a game of Head Hunters where we searched the school grounds for hidden Harry Potter characters and codes. Make sure you check the Gold Class gallery page for updated pictures of the Clay Sculpting and Chinese Tangrams activities.
