We have had another busy week, rounded off by our Euro 2020 Themed Day to celebrate the current tournament (Come On England!!) Below is a brief overview of what we did during the themed day.

 

  1. All of KS2 entered a competition where we had to design our own Pool House Football Kit and football. These designs were then judged by the staff at lunchtime and the winner revealed at the end of the day.
  2. We completed a range of fun football related activities, such as cross words, word searches as other puzzles and quizzes.
  3. We played an England Team ‘Headhunters’ against Year 5. We had to find each member of the England starting eleven as well as manager Gareth Southgate. We also had to remember the numbers on each of the cards and then return to Mr Blackburn or Miss Hall.
  4. In the afternoon we carried out a Euro 2020 Football Tournament which was organised by Miss Hall. All the children in Year 5 and Year 6 were placed into teams and given a country, before we carried out a tournament.

A fantastic day! It was great to see all your football kits, shirts and Euro related outfits too! Have a lovely weekend.
