This week has been all about health and hygiene. We have spent lots of time finding out about why we need to keep clean. We have talked about ways to wash our faces, our hands and how to brush our teeth. We enjoyed a science experiment which showed us why we should use soap – germs hate it!
We have also enjoyed looking at different fruits and vegetables-where they grow and what their seeds look like. On Thursday we made yummy fruit faces and tasted lots of new and unusual fruits.
On Friday we made some healthy vegetable soups which we then also tried.
We have kept our bodies healthy with Dance and Football. The blue team all got certificates for great team work this week.
We have kept our brains healthy with some very challenging phonics this week – new sounds sh, ch, th and ng. And in Maths we have been adding 2 numbers together in groups and independently which is super clever.
Well done to our star of the week – Teddie
Our merit winners were Oliver and Lana
Our kind friend award went to Arthur
