What a wonderful week it has been with the sun shining.
Rainbow class have been talking all about Spring. During English we have been learning about poetry, looking at different Spring poems. The children found some great verbs, nouns and adjectives in these poems. Some children have changed the verbs, nouns or adjectives to make a new poem.
In Mathematics we have continued looking at money. The values of each coin and how much change we would need if we bought some items from the shop.
This week the children designed their own salad and on Tuesday they made their salad to take home for tea. The children had lots of ingredients to choose from such as lettuce, cucumber, peppers, pickled onions, spring onions, cheese, ham, chicken, eggs, pasta and carrots. On Wednesday we evaluated our salad and discussed which foods were our favourite.
During our P.E lesson on Tuesday we played different games such as catch, moving with an object and bench ball. Focusing on the accuracy of our throwing and catching and on Friday we had gymnastics.
