Whilst enjoying the sunshine this week, Year 3 have also been enjoying lots of learning too! 

Our top 5 of the week this week: 

1) In Science, we have been planning a science investigation to answer the question - Can you protect the egg when dropped from a height? In groups, the children have been designing something that can carry an egg and stop it from breaking when dropped. 

2) In English, we have been learning about fashion through the ages, including menswear, womenswear and headwear. We have also continued reading our class story - Ottoline and the Yellow Cat.

3) In Mathematics, we have been solving money related word problems and equivalent fractions. 

4) In Art and Design, the children have been creating their own 3D sculptures out of clay. 

5) Today was sports day and all the children did themselves proud, joining in all the races and doing their best! Well done everyone!
