What a week its been........... We've had pancakes and an invasion of Wallys but the rain has played a villanous part in stopping our lunch time sports fun!

Monday started a trend for the week,  as we entered the field of play to get going with some football we was just about to get the first game under way when the inevitable happened, the heavens opened and down came the rain. Game over on day 1.

Tuesdays weather was much better so we had a great game of football. Harrison and Chris took the roles of team captains and lead from the off. It looked like the game was heading for a nil-nil draw until the ball hit the back of the net, the only problem was there was a few players going for the ball so as far as we could work out someone scored...

Wednesdays weather carried on were Tuesdays left of, cold but dry (yey). Tag Rugby was the majority verdict when we voted for todays game. As ever the very eager Monaè took centre stage as captain and top scorer of the day with 2 trys in a game that ended 4-4. Jensen led the other team and although he didnt get on the score sheet he put in a fine display and helped his team to the draw.

Thursday was a none starter with the rain pouring pretty much all day long (boooooo). I was looking forward to seeing a load of Wallys running around.

Friday started of great with a planned game of American football. But before we could finish picking the teams once agin the heavens opened and that was the end of that .

And so sees another week of fun sports games (well what games we got to play) come to a close. After much deliberation with my right hand man Liam, Chris was our Sports Person Of The Week. This young man has gone from an official to one of the best players on the yard in a matter of months. He was never to bothered with sport but after a few months of being an official he started to join in the games and now hes flowing with confidence and enjoying every game we play, good on ya pal. Liam opted to put nerves to one side to stand up infront of the entire school to hand out and tell everyone who had won the certificate and why. We havent moved to our new sports arena yet but fingers crossed for next week, and until then we bid you adieu.
