Do we wear our coats, do we put our shorts and summer dresses on?
The weather this week has been as random as ever with a lot of the sport this week unable to go ahead due to the wind’ rain and generally horrid weather.
The juniors enjoyed three days of football this week. Lots of goals where flying in left, right and centre with standout goals being scored by Jamie and Chris. Some excellent goal keeping by Jake and jasmine helped to keep the scores down. A big thank you to all the juniors that took part in the sports this week because it’s been wet, windy and slippy and everyone acted in a sensible manor to help avoid any injuries. It’s really great to see the maturity these children have developed.
In the infants we played football (the most requested game) as much as we could. Fantastic gamesmanship was shown again this week with fair play and handshakes before, during and after ever game. With some great finishing from Hayden, Alan, Cian and Mikquell, only some top class saves from Reagan and Nichole helped keep each game from running away with itself. It was nice to see Max score a couple of goals on his birthday too.
This week the infant Sports Person of the Week goes to Jamaar. Jamaar has only recently started to join in the lunch time sports and has done so with a fantastic attitude. He really has done his best to join in and play the right way.
The junior Sports Person of the Week goes to Jayden. What a superstar this lad is turning into. Definitely a future school team defender, he shows no fear and a great hunger for the game of football.
Time is flying by now as we head towards the end of the year and big decisions need to be made for Team of the Year and infant and junior Sports Person of the Year. It’s still anyone to win so keep going.
See you all next week…
