We have had another really busy week in Sunshine Class.
This week was keystage 1 pirate week and we have also done our Right Start Stage 1 road safety training.
We joined forces with Moonbeam and Rainbow on Monday and Tuesday and completed lots of different pirate activities.
We also did road safety on Monday and Tuesday and learnt how to keep ourselves safe when walking near roads and out and about. Some of the staff have seen the children demonstrating this to their parents after school. This is fantastic to see!!
On Wednesday we stayed in our own classes and had some pirate challenges and started to write a Pirate Ping Pong Poem.
On Thursday we had a massive PE day all the children in Keystage 1 participated in a variety of different sports activities. Callie showed off her amazing Tennis skills, Hayden, Max, Alan, Mikquell, Alara and Eliza demonstrated great football skill and we all enjoyed finding out about rounders. Our Pirate books were finished and winners were chosen. Well done to Reegan, Ellie and Sophie whose booklets were finished beautifully.
On Friday we had a very lucky treat we got to have a film morning. We watched Peter Pan and saw Captain Hook in action. Thank you to Dylans mum for our eye patches and all the parents who sent in food for our party afternoon. We enjoyed the cakes the most. Bouncing on the bouncy castle was an extra treat.
Well done to Alara for being this weeks star of the week!
Well done to our merit ceritficate winners Millie and Indy-C.
Just a reminder that on Wednesday we have our "Sunshine Awards" morning... we hope to see you there, please make your way through to the hall as soon as the bell has gone and children are in class.
