This week has been pirate week. We have had lots of fun doing different activities.
Monday - All the children in ks1 got into groups and rotated round the classrooms doing different activities. They made pirate hats, flags, telescopes, eye patches, boats and bunting.
Tuesday - Each class made a treasure hunt for another class. We followed clues to find a bag of treasure. The children loved this. We then did another pirate hunt outside. The children had to find pictures of pirates and write down their names. We also made a pirate mask each.
Wednesday - The children made postcards as if they were on a dessert island, we wrote messages to put in a bottle and made pictures of pirates using shapes.
Thursday - All about the sports today. We played football, rounders, tennis and did some ball skills.
Friday - Party day. Today the children came dressed up as a pirate. We had a celebration assembly this morning and some children got certificates. We had party food and played games.
Also this week we had 2 competitions for ks1. The class that made the best ship and the class that made the best treasure chest.
Moonbeam won the best treasure chest. Well done moonbeam!
The children also took part in the road safety training. They have a certificate to show they have completed this.
Our star of the week is Alan.
