This week we completed our own propaganda posters, which all have a hidden message. The pick of the bunch can be seen on our Battle of Britain display. This display will continue to grow throughout the half term.
In English, we continued to study the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. We began the week by evaluating our diary entries from last week. We then moved to look at non-chronological reports, in preparation for our written piece today. We annotated a pre- made non-chronological report, noting down the key features that were present in the report and some of the key features that were missing too. We spent the rest of the week researching factual information to go into our report, planning our report, before writing it up in best on Friday morning.
We also had a visit from the Football Development Programme this week. We spent the first hour on Wednesday afternoon completed some mathematics questions about football transfers last summer. We then spent the next hour practising our football skills outside on the yard.
This week’s Star of the Week is Ayyun Quatab. Our Merit winners Niall Farmer and Reigan Painter.
A gentle reminder that High School Open Evenings began this week and will continue into October. I would strongly advise you to take your children and have a look around on these Open Evenings. If you have any High School related questions or queries then please feel free to pop in and speak to either myself or Mr Herd.
