This week in Rainbow Class we have been learning "all about london" - Nicole W
"There was a fire that started on Pudding Lane." - Kayden
"The fire started in 1666" - Caroline
"The fire started in Thomas Farriner's bakery." - Arham.
We designed our own Stuart period houses like they had in London 350 years ago and talked about why the fire spread so quickly.
"It spread because the wind blew it." - Esther.
"The houses were made from wood and strew which burns quickly." - Ada
We've also been practising our football skills and showing off our dribbling and passing skills. "Watch out for the next Ronaldo! Alan will be it!" - Leo
Star of the week this week is Alan, who also was awarded Sports person of the week. Our merit certificates went to Arham for his outstanding homework and Leo for always being helpful and considerate.
This week I am sending home a maths challenge for homework instead of a Big Write homework. Please can the children complete this as well as their homework web. Don't forget about spellings and reading too. I was very proud that many children got ALL their spellings right this week. Well done!!
