Running a bit late with this one.
Last week was such a fast week I couldn’t keep up.
The infants enjoyed football this week, with the juniors volunteering to help referee the games the infants really do seem to have a lot of fun. Lee comments every time he ref’s about how much fun he has and how well the infants play together. It’s nice to see a few new faces taking part in these games.
The lower juniors had a couple of games of football, but mostly wanted to play basketball free throws. This is becoming the most popular game in the lower juniors and they just love. Reo and Nicole were the stand out performers in both football matches and Nicole was one of the top scorers in the basketball to.
The upper juniors enjoyed football and skittles throughout the week. The gamesmanship is getting better and we are starting to see some quality team work in each type of game. Oliver grabbed this week’s top goal with a neat finish into the bottom corner from a tight angle. It’s really good to see these upper juniors trying to work as a team now and they are really developing their communication skills too.
The upper junior Sports Person of the Week goes to Gabriel. Gabriel always tries to play by the rules and play the right way. He puts in 100% every time and is always one of the first people to be ready for action.
The lower junior Sports Person of the Week goes to Nicole. What a little ray of sunshine this girl is. Definitely a future sports star in the making, she joins in with every game we play; no matter what we are playing. She always has the right attitude and always plays the right way.
The infant Sports Person of the Week goes to Arham. This young man has just started to join in with the football and has started with great enthusiasm. I think everyone will agree he’s one of the politest little fellows in school and he brings that to the pitch with him. He plays by the rules and tries his best, whilst smiling the entire time. I just hope he carries on joining in.
Normal service will resume on Friday folks…
