It's been another busy week in Moonbeam class!
In English, we have been working on our speaking and listening skills, continuing to become a 'poetry star'. We have also been applying those skills to our nativity, enjoying singing, dancing and learning our parts.
In Maths, we have been looking at word problems and developing ways to tackle them. We have also been looking at words to describe where something is. Our class dinosaur was all over our classroom!
'I like describing where something is.' - Emily
'I liked moving the dinosaur to different places.' - Indiana
'I like dong the word problems.' - Dylan
In Science, we have been looking at the different types of weather, specifically in Autumn and how we can measure the weather, like using a rain gauge and a thermometre to measure temperature.
In D.T., we have been looking at the different ways to cut something with a knife and have discovered and used the 'bridge', 'claw' and 'fork' method to cut bananas and playdough.
'I've enjoyed cutting the playdough.' - Sophia
In P.E., we have created our own sequences using travelling motions and balancing positions. We have performed the routines for the class.
'I can do a balance'. - Bobbi-Jack
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, as we have decorated the school and our classroom and are practicing our nativity ready to perform in a few weeks!
The merit winners this week are Ben and Alara.
The star of the week is Eliza.
