Shape, symmetry, nets, area, weights, measures and a whole heap of other mathematical conundrums were our focus this week in mathematics. We managed to keep a calm head and completed lots of work.

In reading comprehension, we focussed on three mark questions, looking at inference and deduction. All of the people in the group are coming on so well and are all trying to remember to focus on…Point, Evidence, Explanation…good old Mr PEE! The main reason they’re trying to remember, is possibly to stop me banging on at them to remember it! Nevertheless, they are doing really well with it all.

In writing, we have more-or-less completed our first draft of an article about visiting Adlington Hall. The work so far, is of an incredibly high quality and with a little tweaking and editing, the final drafts will be ready next week. If the group is happy for it, we may have their work on the website for all to read; they really are examples of very good standards of prose-well done!

Finally, (and combining the weekly challenge today) here is a website we looked at in S.P.A.G., for a little revision and to give our brains a rest! Have a go at the punctuation challenge and see how you get on.

Have fun and enjoy!
