The penultimate week as year 1’s and the last blog of the year.
We have enjoyed being with other classes this week and we have enjoyed the outdoor areas. We have made dens with Sunshine and Rainbow class, which included working as part of a team and lots of problem solving. We also had a water play morning with rainbow class this week and we all ended up soaked, including the adults! But it was all a lot of fun.
Following our visit to Blackpool zoo, the children have loved exploring animals and role-playing the zoo or safari. We have made animals out of clay, which was very calming and I was extremely impressed with how well the children did with their first time using clay. We have also made animal masks, designed and created our own imaginative animals and junk modelled animals in partners or small groups.
Today we have had as much FUN as possible and we have loved every second. We have decorated biscuits, bounced on the bouncy castles (thank you Mrs. Keating), played our homemade board games with Sunshine class, teaching them how to play and follow the rules of the game and we have finished off our fun filled Friday with golden time and party games.
We really have loved every second of this week, being creative and enjoying activities with our friends that the children have wanted to do.
Star of the week is Patryk.
Merit certificate winners this week are Oskar and Mya.
As next week is the last week and jam-packed full of different things, there will be no blog. So please may I take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your continued support over the last year. Your children are all amazing and special and I will miss them terribly next year.
