The children came into School on Tuesday morning and found there had been a visitor overnight and they knew straight away who it was; The Big Green Dragon! He’s the main character from the story ‘Who’s our New Teacher?’ in English and he came to see us all. He left us a letter and a mess on the floor from eating our fruit. We wrote letters in response to the Dragon and we asked him lots of questions about why he came to our classroom and what he’d gotten up to. The children were very excited and understood that he was a friendly dragon and that there was nothing to be scared of. Their writing this week has been amazing! We can really see huge amounts of progress already and their imaginations are wonderful.

In other lessons this week, we have been on a 2D shape hunt in Maths and learning all about 2D shapes and their properties. We have looked at emotions represented through colour in Art and painted different pictures of ourselves to match the emotions we took pictures of. In Science we have learnt about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores and different animals that belong to each group.

We would like to thank Ellie for bringing in hundreds of conkers for us all to open, enjoy and play with the past two weeks. So from everyone in class, THANK YOU!

As you can see, we have had another busy and fun filled week in Moonbeam Class. We are immensely proud of all the children and how hard they work, we hope you are too.

Our Star of the Week is Hope!

Our Merit Certificate winners this week are Iyla for impressing us all with her positive attitude to her work and perseverance in all lessons and to Noah, for his amazing teamwork and sportsmanship in our P.E lessons.

Well done to you all!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend and we will see you all on Monday morning, bright and early.
