We can’t quite believe it’s the end of another half term. We have had quite a busy week with lots of exciting activities.

In our English lessons this week we have finished our fairy tales and can I say how impressed we are with all of moonbeam class. The effort and enthusiasm they have put into their stories has been wonderful. The level of writing they have accomplished and their use of imagination amazes me and makes me extremely proud. We have decided to send a copy of the stories home so you can enjoy them over the half term. We hope you are as proud of their efforts as we are.

On Wednesday the children finished their art and design topic ‘Do buildings speak?’ with Miss Chippendale and the end result was fantastic. Over the past two weeks, each child chose a building to make and wrote in the speech bubble what it would say if it could speak to you. We called the collection of buildings ‘Moonbeam town’ and they looked so impressive, we decided to show KS1 and both classes were very impressed with our work.

On Thursday we had our final lesson on Sikhism in R.E and we explored and discussed the Vaisakhi festival. The children decided the previous week that they wanted to recreate the parade Sikh’s have as part of the festival and so we wore our bright coloured tops, sang, danced, played instruments and had a very exciting parade around the School. The children had the best afternoon and so did we.

Other exciting events this week:
- Solving missing number problems in Mathematics.

- Creating songs for the Great Fire of London to the tune of ‘London’s burning’.

- Discussing people who help us in our PSHCE and wellbeing lesson.

- Explored seasonal changes in winter and autumn.
