What a great first week back after the half term break. We hope you all had a lovely rest and are super excited for a busy term.

 

This week we have been focussing on the Story the Gingerbread man. We have had a brilliant week.

 

  • Reading the story
  • Watching the story
  • Acting out the story
  • Making Gingerbread men
  • Doing gingerbread Yoga
  • Designing a boat for the gingerbread man to cross the river
  • Learning all about different materials
  • Drawing a story map.
  • Searching for our missing gingerbread men
  • Interviewing suspects
  • Eating our Gingerbread men

 

We have done phonics as normal, learning digraphs ng and ee. Trying really hard to segment and blend to be able to read and write words. We have been learning more of our tricky words, the ones we have to know of by heart which help us with our reading.

 

We have been learning all about 2D shapes in Maths. We have looked at the properties of the shapes.

 

We enjoyed doing PE in the hall with Mrs Parkinson and also football with Kacper.
