Wow! What a super busy week we have had in Sunshine Class. We started the week learning all about Bonfire Night and Guy Fawkes.
"Guy Fawkes tried to put gunpowder under the King's chair because he didn't like him, the guards caught him and took him to jail." Bobby.
We had to match numbers to quantities in mathematics.
We drew and talked about facts we remembered about Bonfire Night and Guy Fawkes.
We then moved on to learning all about Rememberance Day and why we wear poppies.
We made our own craft poppies using card, tissue, and lolly pop sticks.
We used apples to print poppies in the soldiers field
We ordered poppy numbers to 10 and counted poppies carefully.
We thought about people who were brave or kind to us and made them a medal.
We wrote short sentences about poppies thinking about the sounds we hear to be able to form simple words. E.g. It is red.
We have had lots of fun choosing in the environment to...making little balls for the poppies out of play dough, shelters for soldiers from lego.
We were super brave on Thursday afternoon for our flu vaccinations.
