This week in English we have continued with Christophe’s story, culminating in a wonderful lesson this Friday where we all gathered and told our own oral stories. We have also continued writing our creative writing pieces.

In Mathematics we have revised our short division method alongside our 8-times tables.

The children were very enthusiastic in our geography lesson this week. They needed to locate various towns and cities in a paper atlas, and then – using laptops – research each settlement in order to identify what type of settlement it is and any interesting facts about them.

In Science, continuing our topic of digestion, we have looked at the form and function of teeth, and how to look after them.

In French, we have looked at our daily routines, in RE we looked at why Christians pray and wrote our own thankful prayers, and in PSHCE we continued with our myHappymind journals.

We have had a great deal of fun in PE this week, as we are working on two distinct themes. The first, with Mr Bamber, we have begun learning dance and our new routine; the second, with Mr Price, we are learning ball skills – specifically how to travel and control footballs and hockey balls around obstacles.

Thank you everyone for your kind donations for today’s own clothes day. Don’t forget to buy your tickets for PTFA Bingo which is on Tuesday.
