Once upon a time there was a teacher "who was very cool" (Ellie) and she had the best class in all the land.

They were the best class because they could make her the best pancakes and flip them high in the sky. Here's how we made them.

The next day Sunshine class were still the best because they were brightest, shiniest stars in the Galaxy. They made constellations using sticky, gooey marshmallows.

Sunshine Class Information about Stars

"The sun is a star" (Dylan)

"Stars are made out of gas and dust" (Eliza)

"Stars twinkle brightly in the sky" (Ellie)

" You can see stars at night time" (Aiesha)

"If there are clouds you can't see the stars" (Mrs Bradley)

" A group of stars is a constellation" (Alara)

The day after that a whole load of 'Wally's' arrived in Sunshine class, which made Mrs Parkinson very happy. We all looked amazing dressed as Wally's and Kyle even came dressed as Wizard Whitebeard.

We spent the day learning all about Where's Wally and doing challenges and competitions set by Mrs Hanigan who unfortunately couldn't make it on the day, but she sent her friend Wall-E to make sure we all behaved and had lots of fun. It was so much fun.

Millie, Aiesha, Kaidon, Eliza and Kyle all won prizes for making a super effort during World Book Day. Well done!

Sunshine class have really twinkled brightly this week. They have tried really hard with their phonics, learning new sounds which were really tricky. The sounds we have learnt are ai, ee, igh. The tricky words we have learnt are down, go, no, now, for.

During our maths lessons we have been looking at one more. See if you can practice this at home.

What is one more than 6? What is one more than 12?  What is one more than 0?  What is one more than 10?

See if you can make them into a number story.
