Science week has come to an end in Silver class. We have been investigating forces in action. Our task was to design and build a parachute or some other design to support an egg dropped from the top of a set of ladders. At the start of the week we looked at how parachutes work. We then split into 4 teams and began to think about our designs and what we would need. Finally on Thursday morning we began building and testing our designs. As the morning developed so did our designs. Finally after lunch we went into the hall and selected the best one from the class. We chose the one designed and made by George. We took our champion design into the hall again at 2pm for the finals which Mr Parkinson recorded. Mrs Cole dropped the eggs and with all the class designs working, Mrs Cole selected Gold class to be the winners.
We all enjoyed the week. The week also saw Miss Desai leave our class to go to another school for the final term. A big thank you to her and we hope she enjoys her next class as much as Silver Class.
Lots on next week. Pottery on Monday morning and red nose day on Friday.
