We've just got back from our PE lesson where we have been polishing up on our athletic skills. We're VERY tired now!

"We jumped over some hurdles." - Emily J

"We've been running to the end of the field but I came last. That doesn't matter it's the taking part!" - Layla

In English Mrs Ridings has been teaching us all about the story Hermelin. 

"He got his name from the cheese box!" - Tegan and Max.

"We looked at the character Parsley the cat. He was lost." - Callie.

 

In maths this week “we have been using the inverse to find missing numbers” – Emma

“Today we used our times tables skills to find the next number.” – Max

 

In Science we have started a new topic.

“We are learning about plants.” – Hayden

“We got a magnifying glass and looked at different parts of a plant.” – Tegan

“A plant has roots, stem, flower, seeds and leaves.” – Finlay.

 

We are continuing our geography topic from last half term. We have been looking at China and the difference in culture between China and England.

“We learned about Chinese New Year, and how they celebrate it.” – Layla

“Chinese New Year lasts for 15 days.” – Cian.

 

This week the children have been given new homework books with new homework webs. One piece of homework is to be completed by Friday each week. There are also spellings and a big talk homework for next week, due Friday.

 

This weeks star of the week is Hayden and the merit certificates went to Liliana and Emily P. Cian was also awarded Sports Person of the Week. Well done everyone!
