We can't believe it is already Friday again! This last half term is flying by.

This week we have been talking about our move up to Year 3 in Rainbow class. We have been to see our new classroom and also found out that our new teacher in September is going to be Mr Bamber! We have set up a question box in class so the children can ask any questions and share any worries they might have about moving up to juniors soon.

"In English we have been learning about a non-fiction book called 'There's no place like home'." - Finlay

"Some people live on an oil rig." - Tegan

"Some people live in Antarctica and they live in an ice research station." - Max

"Non-fiction texts have facts, headings, contents, glossary and an index." - Emily J

"In maths we have been looking at multiplication (times tables)" - Tegan

"We use arrays to help us." - Jamaar

Our science has been looking at animal habitats, focussing on microhabitats.

"We looked at different bugs that live outside. We saw some ladybirds and we found a beetle." - Atlanta.

"We found some worms. We made a wormery in a jar and we are keeping it in our dark cupboard." - Cian.

This week's star of the week is Evie and the merit certificates went to Jamaar and Emily Jones. Well done!

This week there is no Big Write homework because we are doing a big read next Friday. There is still a homework web that is stuck in the front of the homework book to be completed, along with spellings and nightly reading.

Have a lovely, hopefully sunny weekend!
