We have had a lovely week in Rainbow class this week.

Yesterday the children went to the cinema to watch Peter Rabbit. We all really enjoyed it and the children were impeccably behaved! I just want to say how proud I am of them all for representing our school so well.

Today we are celebrating the royal wedding. We worked in groups to create dresses out of toilet roll with prizes for the winning group. Mrs Parkinson judged our competition after a wedding cat walk and decided that the winning group was Darcy's. We have also been making flags, designing wedding cakes, having a street party lunch and enjoying the sunshine in the afternoon by playing traditional British playground games. Have a look at our gallery below to see some of the fun we have been having.

Star of the week this week was Philip and our merit certificate winners were Darcy for her outstanding homework and Drew for independently recalling his number bonds to 10. Well done!

I am only sending home a homework web piece of homework this week as we have been working so hard towards our SATs next week. Although we will be doing our SATs next week the children will not be told that this is what we are doing as I do not want them to worry. They will be taken in small groups and will be told at the end of the week what we have been doing, with a fun day on Friday to celebrate!

Please can I also ask that children have suncream and sun hats in school for when it is sunny. When the weather is this lovely we like to take our learning outside!

Have a lovely, restful weekend ready for our final week of Summer 1 next week!
