A sunny week ending in a party.
This week has been a very busy week at school. It has been the annual week that the year 6 pupils do their end of year SAT tests.
In diamond class we started the week with swimming lessons at Fulwood. The rest of Monday was spent with Mrs Johnson doing our art work about William Turner.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday was spent with Miss Desai. We did lots of maths and English lessons with her. In the afternoons we did some PE lessons and computing lessons with Mr Mearns.
Friday was a special day. We started the day with an assembly which Mrs Parkinson led. She told us all about the royal wedding taking place on Saturday in Winsor. The back in class we planned and then wrote a story. We could base the story on anything which had inspired us during the past week.
At lunch time we all went outside and had a street party event on the front playground. We took some photographs. It was great fun. After we all had fruit and ice cream we played for the afternoon on the fields in the lovely weather. A really nice day to remember.
This week’s star of the week is Gabi
Our merit winners are Noah and Thomas.
Next week, Monday is our last swimming lesson this year. Friday will be the attendance party for all those who have 98%+ attendance this half term.
